COUNTY OF DUKES COUNTY COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
A special meeting of the County of Dukes County Commissioners was held on Monday, December 13, 1999, at 4:00 p.m. in the County Manager’s Office at the Dukes County Courthouse, notice of such meeting having been posted as required by law.
Commissioners Present: Linda Sibley, Chairman
Daniel Flynn
Leonard Jason, Jr.
Leslie H. Leland
Robert Sawyer
Tim Carroll
E. B. Collins
Also Present: Carol Borer, County Manager
Marsha Smolev, Executive Assistant
Ron Rappaport
Chairman Sibley called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
County Manager, Carol Borer, introduced the Union Contract for the Airport Employees. Commissioner Jason Moved to ratify the Union Contract for the Airport Employees. Commissioner Sawyer Seconded the Motion. The Motion passed unanimously.
Mrs. Borer reported that the Budget has been approved and recommended that County employees receive a 3% COLA. There was some discussion about the COLA. Commissioner Carroll made the Motion which was Seconded by Commissioner Jason. The Motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Jason made a Motion to go into Executive Session for possible litigation and not to reconvene. There was some discussion about going into Executive Session. Roll call vote was taken. Commissioners Jason, Collins, Sawyer, Carroll and Chairman Sibley voted Aye. Commissioner Flynn voted Nay. The Motion passed. Chairman Sibley Moved to invite Marsha Smolev and Ron Rappaport to be present at the Executive Session. Commissioner Jason Seconded the Motion. The Motion passed unanimously. The Commissioners went into Executive Session.
